The Challenge

McCann Systems was chosen to design and build a six-room conference center at Alliance Capital's headquarters. Workflow called for four typical Smart Board conference rooms plus one large, divisible boardroom…each with audio and video-conferencing systems as well as presentation and display capability.

The head-end solution

A conventional approach would necessitate costly videoconferencing equipment in each room. Instead, McCann built a system where all connectivity is routed via a centralized head-end control room. This allows each room to share audio-videoconferencing equipment emanating from a single distribution point. The head-end solution is ideal for multi-room conferencing, room overflow and executive presentations to large groups.
