Christie Digital MicroTiles
MicroTiles is a NEW modular digital display technology by Christie Digital. This new digital canvas allows you to create digital displays in almost any size or shape. The tiles can be assembled in any configuration imaginable, you can move them into a new configuration and they will automatically detect each other and display the correct portion of the image. New MicroTiles can be added to an existing MicroTiles installation at any time during the lifespan of the installation, the new MicroTile will automatically match the color and brightness of the other tiles.
MicroTiles can easily be incorporated to fit within the physical constraints of any environment and eliminate many of the compromises made when using other display technologies. Each MicroTiles screen is 16 inches wide x 12 inches high, with a depth of only 10 inches. The MicroTiles require only 2 inches of clearance for rear ventilation. Each tile weighs 20 pounds. With just a 1mm gap between tiles this modular technology can be stacked like building blocks to create an unlimited amount of display configurations. In addition the new LED lamp technology used in the Micro Tiles means there are no lamps or other consumable parts to replace. The lamp lifespan at 50% brightness is 65,000 hours, that’s 7 years operating 24/7, making them a great choice for LEED projects. They are RoHS compliant, and have built-in eco-power consumption modes.
Color calibration is automatically done by the sensors built into the tiles eliminating the need for costly routine maintenance or service calls. The MicroTiles front accessible design allows for quick and easy access if there is a need for service.
Using both rear projection and Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology, Christie MicroTiles offer superior images and a much wider color palette than traditional display technologies. This rich color palette allows for a more accurate reproduction of brand colors and superior image quality.
