McCann Systems Hits A Line Drive at the New Yankee Stadium
New York, NY (2008) – McCann Systems, an innovative design-build audiovisual firm, has recently been awarded the new Yankee Stadium, located just north of the existing stadium in the Bronx, New York.
McCann Systems will bring their AV expertise to 15 areas within the new Yankee Baseball Stadium, including all internal concessions, restaurants, retail spaces and press suite. McCann will introduce 180 flat screens, offering high-definition imagery over IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) distribution. McCann will also integrate audio elements, including a paging system.

Cutting-edge AV technology will be incorporated into the design of the exclusive VIP “Legends Club”, “Legends Home Plate Lounge” and “Legends Dugout” as well as all other public restaurants, lounges and the “Grandstand” sports bar. Four retail spaces, selling everything from New York Yankees souvenirs, team apparel to high-end baseball collectibles, will also benefit from McCann’s AV ingenuity. State-of-the-art AV will also be integrated into the design of the Concourse level Press Suite.

Hired by Turner Construction, McCann is currently in the design & engineering phase of their consulting position and anticipates AV installation to be completed by February 2009. The Yankees began construction on their new stadium in the summer of 2006. Completion of the new Yankee Stadium is scheduled for the 2009 season.
